I always enjoys Josh Lanyon's stories. I find his main characters to be interesting and engaging. I also enjoy the way these books have just the right balance of mystery and romance. The main characters always find love along the way and this makes for interesting reading alongside the mystery.
This is the first Lanyon book that I have read which has elements of the paranormal and which is set in a world that is similar to our world but at the same time different because of the presence of magic. ...more

I loved this story. Colin is such a likable character even though a "bit" headstrong. But he's one of those characters you want to shake sense into because you just KNOW he's getting himself into trouble.
I would have liked to learn more about Septimus because he is a great hero... strong, silent type :)
Wonderful legend within a story. A pleasure to read and highly recommended. ...more
