Let's clear it: I roll my eyes at drama, but I'm a sucker for it and I really adore Will and Taylor. At the beginning of the series, I wouldn't envision this kind of development in their relationship. Even if the action and the plot in this series is more over the top - like those blockbuster action movies - I feel that the emotional part of the story is becoming more and more important and I really care for Will and Taylor. They made my poor heart beat a little too fast a little too often this

More like 3.5 or 3.75. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really sweep me off my feet.
As mysteries go, this one was good. Riddles within riddles and false leads, yet done in a way that I, as the reader, was lacking important info the hero had so the hero was always a step ahead of me, as it should be in something that isn't a whodunnit. Which this wasn't. Lots of explosions and shootings - it seems that at least one MC needs to be in a hospital bed for a while in every book of this series. Poor guys ...more

This fourth installment in the Dangerous Ground series is angsty, as you'd expect if you'd read the last one with it's bombshell ending. We are reunited with Will and Taylor after they haven't had any leave together for 11 months, and things are strained between them. Fortunately, having a terrorist case to work on together might interrupt their vacation time, but it gives them a break from the awkward tension that's been building in their long-distance relationship.

Will and Taylor at their best...and worst. ;D A little off-kilter before they're thrown way off-kilter during a wonderful adventure through Paris to solve the puzzle of 70s terrorist, Yann Helleco. And also the puzzle that is Will and Taylor's relationship. :D
The deep POV draws the reader deep, for an intense, emotionally evocative ride with a few chuckles thrown in for good measure. Prepare at one point for the intense urge to threaten Josh Lanyon with a spork. Fear not: the ending is soooooooo ...more

I would much rather have a bit more drama in this plotted book. Like Taylor would go back preparing to go to Iraq and Will wouldn't get his memory back till it would be nearly to late. This way he would feel horrible for letting Taylor leave. In my mind Will came out to easy..., but then I have mean strike. On other hand, the story was well written and pulling, but like I said, I would rather let Will suffer a bit more, at least for a day or two if not more.
