Okay, I really disliked Sean in this book. He was an idiot. I really dislike weak characters and Sean is terrible weak, weepy person, brr. I don't get what did Daniel see in Sean.

Sean isn't my favourite of Josh Janyon's needy main characters so it has taken me a while to get around to this sequel. A lot of the story is made up of details of what happened before The Dark Horse and what has happened since. The now of the story stitches these memory/ flashback scenes together around Sean's amnesia following a bad fall down some concrete steps. I enjoyed the switching format, but I wished I had read Dark horse again first, before I started just to refresh the details.

I hesitate to give this a low rating because it's actually very good. But........it didn't grab me. I finished because I kept thinking, I would fall in love with it. But....by the end, I was well "that was okay". I'm not sorry I read it, it deserves that. But....I could have spent the time on a better book of Mr. Lanyon. One other thing, the flashbacks confused me on more than one occasion.
