A prequel/sequel to THE DARK HORSE (and yes, one needs to read that one too), I think Josh has woven a flawless combination between some cliché themes (amnesia, love between the bodyguard and the actor, a guy with a troubled past) with a very romantic story between two of the most endearing characters he ever written.

It's a good thing I started rereading some of my old favourites, because I'd nearly forgotten how great this book was. The unique setting, the amazing writing - tight, precise, with no word out of place at all - and yet so sensitive and reflecting not only the characters' actions, but their feelings, too.

Daniel Moran is one of my favourite from Josh Lanyon's alphas, ever. Unlike many, I'm not the biggest fan of Jake Riordan (even though I adore Adrien English), and I prefer Lanyon's "softer" alp ...more

The blub leads you to believe this is a prequel to The Dark Horse, but it isn't. Sean's stalking happens in flashbacks and that part is done halfway through the book.
