A fun read and wonderfully well written, as you'd expect from Josh. I really enjoyed it as an introduction to a new series, but it feels a little short in its own right (although I may just be miffed about the fade to black on the sex scene!)

Fraser is an appealing character - confident yet with a charming vulnerable side - and I definitely want to see what happens between him and Drew in the future. Watching Drew fall under Fraser's spell and start to unwind was a real treat. Highly recommended.

Drew Lawson needs to get a paper published soon in academia or his position is in jeopardy. He flies to a small town in Wyoming that claims to have the mummy of a 6th dynasty Egyptian princess. He leaves behind his domineering boyfriend that just happens to be his department head. Life will not be good for Drew if he fails to publish a paper or be back in time for his boyfriend's garden party.

Things are looking good, till he finds the museum has been taken over by a reality television crew hea

“No offense, but you’re wound about as tight as anyone I’ve ever met.”

“None taken. I come from a long line of Slinkys.”

This is a light fluffy story—and as always with Lanyon books, well written—not much mystery but the Halloween setting is perfect—I love a story that makes me smile—then giggle

A fun, short, palate cleanser and a good start for a new series.

Drew and Fraser wild and crazy adventures? Bring it on!

Today, I decided to enjoy an unabridged audio edition of this story and I admit, it was way better listening narrated reading by Sean Crisden, second time around. I wish we also had a sequel in this series, because this was only the beginning. I did enjoy it, very much.

2012/March/26 - 3 star rating
This short novella was way to undeveloped and kind of rushed. I did in general enjoy the story as it was, but I felt unsatisfied at the end. That's because Noah and Drew still didn't resolved their is

As I said, vintage Josh Lanyon - Fast-paced, funny, yet thoughtful enough that it never becomes shallow, with quirky, nerdy, totally likeable characters and an intriguing plot. Only the ending came sort of abrupt, there were many unattached ends that let hope for the sequel.
