Let me start out by saying, I'm usually not all that fond of shorts/novellas. Because they're usually not . . . enough for me. Not enough plot, or characterization or whatever. But I think Josh Lanyon could scribble something on a post-it note and I would love it.
This is a wonderful, quirky little novella with sarcastically fun characters, fun snarky dialog, and madcap adventuring.

I've only just got around to reading a few of Josh Lanyon's short stories. I can see the reasoning behind his popularity. Looking forward to sinking my teeth into one of his grittier, longer novels.
I liked this one a lot. The writing was sharp, interesting, pulled me along. I look forward to more in the series, assuming they focus on Fraser and Drew. ...more
