What Members Thought

Really liked this on first read, it went straight onto my favourite shelf. I enjoy characters that are different from each other, getting past their predjudices and this has a nice element of hurt/comfort too.
On re-reading I skipped some of the dance, I neither know nor care what dance is what, and dear Laurie is a tad precious. But I still enjoyed it a great deal.

Okay okay I relent, I really should have read this one much earlier in my MM reading career. It was fabulous. I was glued to my kindle from start to finish. Such a tender Enemies-to-lovers/opposites attract love story. the characters seemed very real with real insecurities and real problems, not just "I don't want to talk about my feelings and I am dealing with homophobia" (both of which can be done well, but can also be over used). Just a fantastic read. The characters were very likable and I completely fell in love with both of them. There was so much sweet and unconditional love and very little angst. The road wasn't supremely easy for this couple but there was never doubt - and I love that. The images of the men dancing were vivid and I was captivated. There were many hot moments and many more touching ones. I truly enjoyed this one!
