I know, I know...a 3 for Josh Lanyon? The terrible part is that if it had been anyone else's book, I probably would have viewed it differently, but Josh sets the bar high and I have, perhaps, unrealistic expectations because of it.
It would be wonderful to review this book and the subsequent Holmes and Moriarity together, as a single entity, which also would change the rating for me. I did read them back to back, and taken together, Kit and J. X.'s story gains irresistible pull.

I'm a Josh Lanyon fan and I have to admit that I didn't think that I would love this book/series as much as I enjoyed the Adrien English series - but I did. While both are similar - witty, funny, plotted extremely well, and fast-paced - this isn't a rewrite of that series. The plot and the characters of this book are individual,fresh and original.

Okay, let's just say I do overidentify with one of the characters and leave it at that. Good, light mystery.

Well, I loved it. I laughed my ass off in places and then got caught up in the mystery and the love story. Great read, going right to my favorite shelf for comfort reading. Can't wait for the sequel.
