Like Josh Lanyon's other contribution to the first batch of Petit Morts, this story really surprised me in the directions it took. I should have spotted who the romantic interest was going to be earlier, but was too distracted by the other potential men.

I liked Griffin so much. He is a wedding planner in a small town, making other people's dream come true at the best of his abilities. He could have had a different life if he had gone away, but he stayed in his hometown, continuing to face the same people who treated him badly in high school. He may have doubts about the sncerity of a few of the persons he meets, but he recognizes that he can't let them have power over him anymore.

This shorty was really interesting, but definitely not a romance. I liked Griffin, his behaviour toward Joe was to forgiving. I wish we had Griffin's story with Hammer. The way it ended felt incomplete, not even HFN, because no one gained a thing, only Joe with his marriage to that bitch.
