Meet Taylor MacAllister and DDS partner William Brandt.
These two are partners at work, both gay, and best friends. They’ve known each other around three years and know pretty much everything about one another. Taylor is written as the playboy commitment-phobe, and William is the down-to-earth traditional family man. Somehow, this isn’t exactly how it seems to play out in the series though.

Reread 3/3/13 - There is just something about Taylor for me that is special. Very special. My reread has cemented this book, and the series, as a favourite. Even though it was a short read, this time it felt more complete. Maybe that's because I know what's to come, but I was certainly satisfied. There are some lovely moments between the men at the end, the kind I read over and over when I get to them, the kind that Lanyon does so well ... sigh. I don't know if it was my own frame of mind or something about the book specifically, but this Josh Lanyon book didn't work for me nearly as well as the Adrien English mysteries. Perhaps, because it's the first book I read after reading that series, I was going through some kind of weird Adrien and Jake withdrawal. I'm not sure of the cause, but I didn't engage with these characters, which is key for me if I'm going to love a book. I felt like I didn't know them well and I had a hard time caring
