4.5 stars.
The ending was too too abrupt, this is the only flaw in this short story. It ended on a scene too distant in place and emotion from the previous scene in my opinion.
The best thing in this story is that it made me suspect of EVERY single character in the book until the end. It had a nice small town atmosphere and I liked that all the characters had all their own kind of loneliness. The writing is wonderful.
