What Members Thought
This is my favorite book in this series. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to the audiobook of it. It’s got everything: an old house, mysterious legends and folktales, a really suspenseful murder mystery in a small town kind of way, cloak and dagger stuff you might say (and I don’t mean the bookstore, but I’m happy about that too - I still love Angus, though he’s not here much), some action and adventure (a lot of it outdoors in the wilderness where anything could be out to get you)

i'm still not overwhelmed...hm
dunno perhaps i'm just not getting into the story? i'm missing something.... more tension? Adrien is okay but i don't find him that intriguing... Jake has more going on but we don't get to know much about him, do we?
and the detective plot...frankly that left me cold, cold, cold...
perhaps i had too high hopes? everybody seems to like these.... I read the book and it's just...meh not bad, not great either.
Not giving up on Josh Lanyon though! will try something else : ...more

After a long pause finally I finished this book.
Awesome!!
This book remind me what make me love Josh Lanyon's works. The story is deep and the romance is so real but sweet.
At this second installment of Adrien English Mystery, "the friendship" between Adrien English and the sexy detective Jake Riordan move to the new level: friend with benefit. And I can't wait for the third book! Hope nothing get in the way :D
