Luuuurv Adrien!!! Jake hasn't won me over yet, but I have hope.

I finally found Jake's theme (or rather one of his themes for my head): Breathe by Erasure ...

I've made my way through all the Adrien (that's Adrien with an e) novels and have to say this remains at the top of the list for several reasons.

First, there's a darn good mystery here - a murder that seems to have a simple explanation slowly evolves into something much more complex. This is the second book in the Adrien English mystery. Again, another great mystery. A true mystery, one that I didn't figure out until the end.

Wrong, of course. First there's the dead body he finds in his driveway, a body that disappears when Adrie

The lead characters were much more well-rounded in this outing and it was great to get a better sense of them-- I still wanted to smack both of them upside the head at various points, but I was rooting for them to finally get together. I also really enjoyed the building mystery, although the ending felt a little rushed.
