I liked this one even more than book two. Perhaps the series gets better over time. I especially liked how Elezar was written right after shifting to become a Bear, toward the end.
I don’t know why, but my kindle refused to open this ebook. I had it in print, so I read the paperback. There were minor editing issues where small words were missing, or some words were misspelled to be a different word. All minor, but enough that it was really noticeable.

I quite enjoyed the first duology in this six-book series, but I think this second duology is even better! For one thing, the characters are no longer teenagers--this taking place five years after the end of book 2, putting the Hellions in their mid-twenties--and I think the author did a great job showing the ways in which they've all matured, while also showing they still have their faults. The publisher's substandard editing job still infuriates me, but even that hasn't prevented me from giving 5 stars to the magnificent story penned by one of the most brilliant authors to date.

Just didn't feel like it was a right ending I guess. I liked the book and went between a 3 and a 4 but I just felt that the stuff with Atreau and other mentioned hellions were used to not deal with Elazar's choice. He still has a Dukedom to run and the Holy Caladonian Church is not going to let him be as the partner of a male witch. Even one that is a Demi-God. Too much left open, and yes I know more books are probably coming.
