I liked this one even more than book two. Perhaps the series gets better over time. I especially liked how Elezar was written right after shifting to become a Bear, toward the end.

I don’t know why, but my kindle refused to open this ebook. I had it in print, so I read the paperback. There were minor editing issues where small words were missing, or some words were misspelled to be a different word. All minor, but enough that it was really noticeable.

I quite enjoyed the first duology in this six-book series, but I think this second duology is even better! For one thing, the characters are no longer teenagers--this taking place five years after the end of book 2, putting the Hellions in their mid-twenties--and I think the author did a great job showing the ways in which they've all matured, while also showing they still have their faults. Just didn't feel like it was a right ending I guess. I liked the book and went between a 3 and a 4 but I just felt that the stuff with Atreau and other mentioned hellions were used to not deal with Elazar's choice. He still has a Dukedom to run and the Holy Caladonian Church is not going to let him be as the partner of a male witch. Even one that is a Demi-God.
