Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read early for an honest review.

I haven't read any of the author's other series (Shetland or Vera), but I've seen BBC episodes and liked them.

This is her new series and I'll be eagerly awaiting the next installment. I loved the setting and the atmosphere. I loved Matthew, the detective, and how personal the case becomes to him.
