frustratingly good
I almost deducted a star because I wanted to take both of them, lock them in a room and force them to talk to each other already. I didn't because I really did enjoy the book and loved Kiem and Jainann, the ending was exactly what I hoped for. Looking forward to more from this author. ...more

Though this story has a bit of a slow start, taking time for the Kiem and Jainan to get used to each other and their new situation, it was well worth the time it took to get to the climax of the story.
Thrown into a political marriage for the sake of a treaty, recently widowed Jainan finds Kiem to be an easy-going, laid back, person who willingly gives him space, though he does not read it that way at first. Kiem, essentially the black sheep of the royal family, is an outgoing extrover ...more
