This one is a long awaited fifth book in the series. And I think it was worth the wait.

This time we gets to see Ellery's parents. They were a fun addition to series. His mother was as colourful as she should be. It was interesting to read about Ellery family, to understand the person he was, and the reason behind his seemingly sudden move to the island.

It began innocently enough with a dinving date. And then Ellery accidentally picked up the third wheel, a dead body, as they hide from the wild

While I am enjoying this series, there wasn't enough progression in this for me. I appreciate the comfort read aspect of this book and series and the utterly delightful setting and accompanying characters of Pirates Cove. However, chemistry felt like it stalled in this book, and the requisite mystery progressed in a way that wasn't particularly interesting to me. I wanted to know more about Rowdy and Jack ... and was utterly charmed by Ellery's parents' interactions with PICO residents. Was hopi ...more

Another great addition to this cozy series. It came at just the right time when I needed a comfort read the most. It made me laugh a lot too. I can’t wait for the next book!
