Of the three books so far, I think I liked this one best. It kept me drawn and interested through out. The pacing was quite brisk and not a lot of fillers.
Things sort of went back to normal for Ellery after the event of the second book. Life goes on, Ellery dial back the relationship between him and Jack, per Jack's requested. But it was difficult. Because Ellery still very much attracted to Jack. It didn't help that he sometimes sent mix signal as well.

Love this so much. Audio is great.
I love this series. The romance is moving at a glacial pace which fits the characters perfectly (although I had several squee moments in this one) but the romance is just a lovely backdrop to the mystery story.
Clever cosy mystery with a reluctant amateur sleuth. Ellery's love of puzzles and natural inquisitiveness is the driving force behind him solving the mystery. As always in these type of books Ellery has TSTL moments, but at least he acknowledges that he ' ...more

A fun, light cozy mystery--though I guess not for the victim--as Ellery discovers yet another body. It was nice to see Ellery more settled and considered one of the locals, especially as they were inundated with the "summer folks." Although there was a definite mystery in the story, it didn't detract from my enjoyment of all the town craziness and shenanigans.
