What Members Thought

For me, Josh Lanyon is the MASTER when writing about second chance romance, with those intense left-over feelings from past relationship with ex-es. Seriously. Lanyon is BRILLIANT in it.
This is another classic Lanyon, with a nod to Rear Window. When his elderly friend, Maurice, is missing, Michael calls the only person he can think of, his ex, now NYPD Lieutenant, Detective Leonard Drake.

Classic Lanyon. Very well written and, like a friend phrased, it is very "emotionally satisfying".

Classic Lanyon. I really enjoyed this. Felt like coming home, you know? It's hard to describe, but probably has to do with the fact that my reading has been so terrible this year and I've only recently found some books I'm enjoying, but I can always enjoy one of Josh's books. The mystery is fun though very short, and the romance was a sweet second chance that worked really well. This would not make for a good novel, but it was a perfect feel-good short story for sure. :-)

A wonderful second chance romance, as usual full of feelings, and - most importantly - believable feelings. I absolutely understand the place Michael found himself as he was injured, and the reason he pushed away Len. A lovely read, a bit melancholic at times, but (view spoiler) .

What a fresh short mystery romance. A story with a criminal aspect, which was solved fast and without a fuss. I liked it.
