Another book by Josh Lanyon which left me wanting more. MORE. The shortness is what cost it that one star.
Without giving away too much, it is my feeling that it is the short length which made the resolution slightly less satisfying than what could have been. As always the descriptions, the characters and the ideas behind this story are genuine Lanyon and so engaging. Winemaster Austin lives in Washington, DC and is out. Jeff lives in a small town in Georgia and is so far in the closet that his and Austin's first kiss comes as a huge surprise--though a lovely one. The chemistry between these two is wonderful, and their first night together is one of the best sex scenes ever, lyrical and yet hot. When they part ways the next morning--probably for forever--the longing for what could be "if only" was so strong that my heart hurt.

Despite some things that should have been caught in editing, I enjoyed the story. Very well written. Loved all the stuff about wine, and the way Austin experiences the world with his nose. I just wish it hadn't ended before I was ready for it. I would have liked to have them settle things a tad more firmly, resolve some of the unfinished business to a point where I was surer they had a chance. Nothing very long even - maybe the evening or the night together. It felt like the last few minutes of
