The wine/sex references were great--the Southern voice not so great--I've lived in the South all my life--we use the word y'all as a plural noun--not singular--Austin and Jeff left me feeling empty--think I'll go open a bottle of wine and start another Lanyon book!

I loved the romantic pair in this, a scholar (in this case, a Master of Wines)with a slight inferiority complex(in this case, stemming from family issues, or more specifically daddy issues rather than from any kind of health condition for a change) and a closeted law enforcer (in this case, a PI). They were just lovely together-their first erotic encounter was one of the most beautiful I've read from this author so far. Jeff did some stupid things over the course of the story, but he redeemed hi

This story was a little different from most of the mysteries I have read by Mr. Lanyon. I felt like it concentrated more on the relationship between the two mc than the mystery that brings them together. The mystery was not paramount, which is not a bad thing, not bad at all.

But Jeff is interested in a one night stand...which is breaking Austin's heart.
Then there are the twins who want Austin! Then there is Jeff and the one of the twins...then just one twin!
There is of course.......a body.
Can Austin get over his past love and make Jeff his current love? Is his career as a somme ...more

Wow, I definitely didn't enjoy that terrible forced mfm sex in that story. Sure at least it was Jeff who came to Austin at the end and asked for a new chance, a small consolidation. Still, this story was way to undeveloped and not as enjoyable.
