Hallelujah, I read a book! Thanks to pandemic brain I’ve had an exceedingly hard time reading at all. I started two weeks ago and stalled near the beginning. Praise be a question from Vivian got me to restart this morning and I read the whole thing.

I really enjoyed this! Well written and engaging with one very frustrating main character. I liked Will as the protagonist and wanted nothing more than to be able to help him organize his bookshop. Very nicely done. Some suspense, some romantic elements, characters with shadowy motivations, all set in a post WWI backdrop. I love Charles' use of period appropriate slang. ...more

I'm not sure, if I liked or disliked Kim as a character. He was mysterious and equally kind to Will. They were attracted to eachother, but also tried to build some kind of friends. At the end they decided on friends. Still, the storyline was weird and equally pulling. ...more
