Different from Josh Lanyon’s usual. While not without its setbacks, it was still an entertaining ride!
Cosmo Saville hides his witch pedigree from his soon-to-be husband, police commissioner John Galbraith. It’s been fairly easy so far, but then they’ve only known each other for a whole two weeks.

I loved the way this is mostly our own world, just with secret magic, somewhat like in the TV show Bewitched. Cosmo is trying to live a normal life without magic, but I had to frequently chuckle at his little "slips" as he uses his magic again and again without truly realizing it. After all, if you could open a virtual door and pop near to your destination, would you bother sitting in traffic day after day? Me neither.

Loved getting to know the characters. Cosmo was interesting and I enjoyed seeing his and John's relationship, their issues and trying to resolve the issue of Cosmo being suspected of murder. The only issue I had was with the french, latin and i think there was a moment of spanish..(I can't remember it was something else) that wasn't translated or I wasn't sure I was getting the context right since I never learned any of it.
