What Members Thought

Entrée to Murder: 4*
I adored Big Mac. Clever twist on the mystery which was already keeping me guessing. Hated Drew's best friend. Loved the elderly couple. Did I say I adored Mac?
Twelve Seconds: 3.5* Another solid entry in the anthology. Not sure about the logistics of a cop giving info to a reporter he's only just met but I liked both guys, thought they were a good match and the mystery was interesting and not something I'd heard of before. Appreciated older MCs.

This anthology has eight mystery stories written by eight different authors who know their way around writing mystery. Each story is different, unique and entertaining in their own way and does a wonderful job of keeping the readers unsuspecting and guessing at who the possible culprit(s) could be. It was really easy to get sucked into each one and just lose track of time reading. For me there was only one story I really struggled with getting through but I ended up enjoying when I managed to fi

That's 5 stars for each of the stories. Loved them. And I'm looking forward to continuing the stories that started in this anthology.

This anthology began, middled and ended on high notes for me, and I was impressed that all the stories are novella length and feel complete - even those I enjoyed least.

What a great anthology!! Some of these authors are faves that I have read and/or listened to many times, and there are a few that I need to read more of because all these stories were really good. The narrators chosen were really good too. Kale is one of my faves, he differentiates between voices and has a peaceful sounding voice that makes me just relax into the stories and become immersed. Joel has a fantastic range, and good comedic timing. I do respect his ability to do several accents but I

I don't usually like anthologies/short stories ... but I enjoyed this! The quality of the writing is better than I have come across before -- and there are a couple of stunning reads that are well worth the price of admission. Here is a summary of what I thought of each:
1. ENTREE TO MURDER by Nicole Kimberling
Predictable and not a whole lot of substance. Some really bizarre twists and turns ... an uncomfortably inappropriate workplace relationship. Still a cute romance but nothing particularly r ...more

A lovely collection of mysteries!

This was a solid collection. All of the stories were quality. Good writing and memorable stories all around. My favorites were LB Gregg's "Blind Man's Bluff" and Dal Maclean's "A Country for Old Men."
