A little disappointed that the final action that took down the killer was written off page. After all the excitements that happened to get the guy, I wanted the big bang.

There is nothing better than a Josh Lanyon story. I loved these two together but they did have lots of problems, not the least of which was the time they fell in love. To be together, they had to be creative and creative they were. Short and sweet but quite complete, this one is perfect for all of us who love MM ro mance.

Once again (Josh, really??) I think Josh can do so much better. Actually I was bored silly reading it until almost halfway, when somehow the protagonists seemed to a agree on "friends only". Which means that the following scene came so expectedly that for quite a bit I was looking for indications that it was just Jamie dreaming hopefully.

It’s a slice of life kind of spiel is what this was. Given SLAY RIDE is a short story, I tried to manage my expectation. And the MCs were long time friends already, so theirs definitely couldn’t be called as instant attraction. Considering this is Lanyon’s work though, soon I got myself immersed in the story and totally forgot my initial reservation. For most of the pages, it was okay - even considering the number of body counts. Which was when that closing chapter hit, very much telling instead
