What Members Thought

“We had found the stars, you and I. And this is given once only.”
I've been a good girl. Not only did I find the courage to finally read this book, but I got myself nice and numb promising not to cry, and I managed to stick to the plan. No tears were spilled.

3.5 Stars
Armie Hammer’s narration is magnificent. So much so that I’m sure I’ll now watch the movie simply to watch him in his role as Oliver. The story ebbed and flowed for me, though. At times, especially the time in Rome, it was poignantly beautiful, but often times being in Elio’s head was a chore (stunning narrative aside) that I became bored with; it didn’t help that I really struggled to accept Elio as a 17 yo boy, precocious genius or not.
