You can't really go wrong with Lanyon, can you? I had to re-read parts of the 1st book to reorient me to this story but that proved fun as well. This book is a little more angsty than is typical for Lanyon, but it will keep you riveted to the page and if you're anything like me, you'll be hitting your head against the wall when you're done reading because you know/suspect it may be another year before her third book in the this series comes out.

I liked this one more than the first, but I still think the romance is shorted. That would be fine if it wasn't sold as a romance, but it is. Still I had more belief in it with this book, and I am excited to read the next book. ...more

Standard Lanyon Gold

Lanyon writes the struggles within gay relationships like no other.
Lanyon writes a mystery to keep you turning pages like no contemporary.
The Monet Murders weaves both of these elements into another great story in the sophomore book in the Art of Murder series.
Buy it. Read it. There will be no regrets.

Classic Lanyon story telling. Really enjoyed this book and these characters, even if occasionally I felt like screaming at them. If you have read the book you know why, if you haven't well read it and find out already :) ...more
