Really liked this sequel to The Mermaid Murders. The romance is not exactly your typical romance-novel kind, but Lanyon has shown that she can really work with romances that grow over the length of the series, so I'm really looking forward to where this is going.
As to the mystery, it was full of twists, and I was once again caught off guard by the end. One of the thing I love about her mysteries and why I always come back to them.

Classic Lanyon story telling. Really enjoyed this book and these characters, even if occasionally I felt like screaming at them. If you have read the book you know why, if you haven't well read it and find out already :)

Finally!!
I've (im)patiently waited for the sequel to Mermaid Mysteries and its finally here! I was kind of surprised how much I fell in love with Jason and Sam and their mystery solving ways in the first book, and The Monet Murders don't disappoint on either front. To me, there was just the right amount of mystery and romance, as with most Lanyon books. The mystery and the "vibe" may not be as "perfect" as in Mermaid Mysteries, but it's really, really good. I can't wait for the audiobook to come ...more

Good narration. The audible did accentuate the somewhat repetitive angsting by Jason. Overall still a great listen.
