Audio listen. I liked this best of the series. The characters have grown on me, there's some mystery with false leads and the main suspect taken out.

I enjoyed this one, it's reads as a sequel to the first book, not a standalone but you could easily miss the middle book (which I liked well enough, but didn't need).
Lots of mysterious things happening, a grudging working with different agencies for our super-detective ex-FBI Elliot. I liked in this one that while his cleverness is obvious ther ...more

Well it's been a while and I haven't changed my mind, still love it. Catching up with Elliott and Tucker was amazing, their relationship has grown so much since the first book although Tucker is still very protective of Elliott. Given that Elliott is now part of the task force working to wrap up The Sculptor case Tucker has to accept that Elliott can look after hi ...more

The book start off nicely with an interview with the old perp. Then we moved to almost police procedural making progress on the old plot line from the first book.
I liked that Elliot and Tucker talked things out in dialogues and conversations, instead of just fucking each other into understanding. It is pretty amazing how Ms. Lanyon managed to make Elliot day-to-day life interesting to read. Maybe it's the surrounding investigation but she managed to inject the sense of mundane normality despite ...more

Books in the series must be read in order. If you haven't read the series, do give it a try.
Great installment in the series. I loved the look into Tucker and Elliot's relationship and seeing how far they've come from their reunion in book 1. The new development involving The Sculptor and his so called accomplice was intriguing. Sheba was a great addition, totally loved her part in the story too. ...more

Meh.
Maybe the mystery of Sculptor shouldn't have been further complicated. I just disliked the angle Lanyon went with.
Romance was still solid, but I didn't really need the confirmation.
Dog was the best thing about the book. ...more
