Full disclosure, while Josh Lanyon is still a solid dependable author for me, but I haven't been fully satisfied with anything she had released in the past two years. So I came to this one feeling a little skeptic and trying to tamper down any expectation. Also, knowing Lanyon's brand of romance, I though I'd better focus on the mystery part rather than the romantic portion.

**Audible version**
Overall, a very enjoyable listen. I always know I'm into a good book when:
Ebook Version: When I miss my bus stop while reading or when it's painful to stop when I have to get off the bus.
Audio Version: When I run out of initial chores to do while listening so I make up more, and end up with a way cleaner apartment, or way more organized.
It was a latter for this book, and along with listening, I did all the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, did multiple loads of laundry, put away so ...more

I see now why Sam Kennedy acted the way he did to Agent Darling in Winter Kill ;-)
A promising start to a new series and new pairing Lanyon style. ...more

Great couple!

Listened to the audiobook. Just as awesome as the book.

2016 - This was one great book! The start was a little bit slow and I thought it was going to have this emo boy undertone with Jason, but that soon turned around. Jaso was a great character, yeah with a little dramatic flair, but he is smart too and independent. He doesn't just let Kennedy boss him around.
The mystery of the story was well done. The story has both action, drama, sort of romance, humor, murder and you won't j ...more
