Josh Lanyon. I love you! Somehow your books always find the shortcut to my heart. And this particular one is my favorite. I admired everything about it, the mystery, romance, the setting, the characters and the fairytale twist to it, too. I think it was truly magical. I'm utterly overwhelmed!

I like Josh Lanyon's writing style. His stories revolve around well crafted MCs with real problems. This book was no exception. The burb gives a good synopsis of the plot, but it is Griff that is the heart of this story. We are in his head. We suffer his anxiety attacks. Reading Stranger on the Shore is like meeting an old friend after a long time. This is classic Josh in a subgenre he does best.

The story being told in Griff's POV really worked for me, I really connected with him, and reveled in experiencing everything through his eyes, and having access to his impressions of everyone he met. Griff and Pierce made for deliciously intriguing main characters, both having their demons and past hurts to deal with, a past Pierce was so reluctant for Griff to open again..but which he eventually benefited from.

Griffin Hadley has set out to unravel the story of the kidnapping and disappearance of Brian, heir of the Arlington fortune, two decades ago. While Brian’s grandfather welcomes him in his home, the rest of family is less inclined to offer any support. Don’t they believe that the mystery can be solved so many years later or don’t they want dark secrets to face the light of day?
Even the handsome family lawyer Pierce Mather tries to get rid of Griffin, but it is quite obvious that the two men are d ...more
