What Members Thought
In this much-awaited novel journalist Griff Hadley arrives to Long Island to investigate the kidnapping and disappearance of 4-year-old Brian Arlington who now have been missing for twenty years. And what a brilliant mystery it turns out to be! Its twists and turns kept surprising the reader all the way to the very end of the story! And it’s almost scary how well Josh Lanyon writes the story in a way that Griff's feelings, his doubts and fears, his expectations and uncertainties, his confusion a

Wow. Loved this! It's heavy on the mystery and lighter on the romance, but that's just fine with me. One of the reveals was telegraphed pretty early, but it had to be. The others took me by complete surprise. I adored Griff and thought Pierce was too hot for his own good. What was with him in that first sex scene though?
Hang on to your hats, kids. Lanyon's back in the mystery game.

This is one of the best books this year. But then does Josh Lanyon ever write a bad book?? In my opinion, NO! Sadly, this is one of those times when I just know my review will look like a weed in a garden of roses.

This book ranks among my favorite of Josh's books (and that's saying a lot). The writing was perfection, the main characters were well developed, the supporting characters were annoying, lovable, quirky and/or interesting. I loved the plot, setting and atmosphere of the book. It was one of those books that I didn't want to put down, but I also didn't want to read too quickly because I didn't want it to end.

Well, I have to admit, the author knows how to pull a reader into the story, he got me with a start. The young investigative journalist Griffin Hadley was an intelligent, emotionally well balanced character, till he was starting to get strange deja vu moments. His way of dealing with the aristocrat family was smart, with a touch of naivety, but still believable till the end. His investigation, about unsolved mystery behind disappearance of 4-year-old kid, Brian was smartly done and written.
