This was one of those rare books that had me sobbing at the end. I cried my eyes out and yet, I felt no shame. It was not as if there was a tragic end that had me despairing at life, but instead, I rejoiced at life and the possibility that this wonderful dog Enzo go what he wanted all along. I hope that my dogs that have passed on had as much wonder and heart as this amazing canine, who had heart was as much human as any one of us. Read this book now. Read it well. Wow! What a moving book -- so beautifully written from the perspective a Enzo the dog. But, for those of you considering reading this book, don't be put off by that fact. Once again, I found a book that is philosphical, human and entertaining. I'm grateful I have friends who make such wonderful recommendations.

This book was chosen my book club; I don't know that I would have picked it on my own. I was cute, but a little predictable and silly.

Ohhh, I LOVED this book! I read it in 3 days. Granted, I may have skimmed some of the racing part, but other then that I so thoroughly enjoyed this! I loved reading from a dog's perspective and I can SO see a dog thinking and doing the things that Enzo did. Totally fell in love with him. If you want a good, quick, read then this is a book to pick up. I mean, I suppose it was a little predictable, but so what, I enjoyed it.

I just finished this last night. I really really liked this book. Written from the perspective of a dog, it was incredible. Someone who is more than a fly on the wall, part of the family but people tell their dogs their innermost feelings and they see things in us that we often hide from the rest of the world.

Omg this book is amazing! I thought it was going to be another Marley & Me, or something, but it so wasn't! I read it in one day - I just couldn't put it down. What a fantastic read. I think it's going in my top 3 all time books - wow! Read it!! Mr Stein, I salute you! :-)

What an uplifting touching story how could you not love Enzo who has lots of love to give and nothing but dreams to be able to race and be human one day. Love this story was a very fast read and great experience. Made me look at my dog and think hmmmm maybe he's ready?

I could not get into the Author's style of writing. I liked the story and the fact that the dog was "writing" the book.
