I'm a big fan of the IAD series, so I can forgive that this book was probably a tad too long and could have been resolved much earlier than it actually was. But I can't complain that I got to read more of Thronos and Lanthe and their 'epic story,' as Lanthe would say.

This is not a book to pick up if you haven't read any of the earlier books in the series. There are a multitude of characters, beasties, side stories, references to past events. The story picks up with the escape of the Lore from th

This wasn't my favourite in the series but I did enjoy it. Still having the odd Deja Vu moment as the timelines overlap and you see scenes from different angles and pov's. It was nice to finally get to Thronos and Lanthe's story. I'd been wondering about them for some time. They both had a lot to overcome and their tale was equal parts frustrating and touching. I'm glad neither was able to give up on the other.

Have I mentioned how much I love Robert Petkoff's narration? If you haven't listened to these books, I highly recommend it!

Thronos and Melanthe has a story way back when they were just children. They met, they became best friend, but then tragedy happened that changed the course of their life. Lanthe and Thronos both lost their parents and their childhood because of it.

Now, 500 years later in an island where they were captured Thr
