I don't know how to write this review without giving any spoilers. Suffice it to say that I loved Scout and her sense of humor, the writing and the characters. Alex was just too awesome for words and I'm IN SHOCK at the end. The mention of West Side Story should have been my clue. The fact that his name is Alex gives me some hope because it reminds me of another book where something similar happened to a character named Alex. (I know, crazy weird.) 4 stars for the first half, which cracked me up. 3 stars for the second. I really enjoyed the sliceof teenage life and world- building in the beginning., but the supernatural part was a little awkward. Though I can understand the comparisons to twilight, I liked this book much better.

A very sweet story. A little rough around the edges.. But for those fans of paranormal romance.. It's a good one to read. I should also note.. It has made my heartbreaking shelf.because it was that good.

Also FUNNY! I love the references to popular movies and books.
