I'm always thrilled to read a new Kate Daniels book (and just as amazing on a re-read). This one has Kate and Curran settling into their house and looking for a missing Werebison.

What I enjoyed:
* Loved the domestic scenes
* Interaction with Roland
* Kate and Curran and all their friends and family

This is one of my favorite series. The writing is witty, the story is completely engaging, and the characters are all super lovable.

I'm not sure I can write an articulate review and not just fangirl squee over this book but I need a review for BSB so what do I love about it?

I love Kate & Curren's relationship. They always have each others backs and I love that they've agreed to let each other just be themselves. Of course, them being themselves now that they are settling into suburbia rather than The Keep makes for some awesome scenes. And not being involved in constant shapeshifter politics actually freed this book up a bit

I rode through the night-drenched streets of Atlanta on a mammoth donkey.

Kate and Curran have left the Pack Keep to prevent a war. They are working together and trying to provide Julie a stable home. Kate learns that something big is on the horizon when she is confronted by a horde of ghouls while on her way to a routine case. The disappearance of werebuffalo, Eduardo leads Kate and Curran to the Mercenary Guild which is falling apart. Strange assignments and even stranger creatures points to a
