You can always tell a Laurenston book - the heroines are strong, prone to vulgarity and slight insanity, and would sooner kick your ass than talk to you. And if you can get comfortable with that, then her books are entertaining and humorous.

"Dragon Actually" is a sword-n-sorcery fantasy with evil warlords, battling armies, dragons, and Magick with a capital M. Our heroine, heroically named Annweal the Bloody, is leading a rebellion against her wicked brother for rule of the kingdom. One slightl

My first instinct is to say that both stories are really sweet. The story kept moving to the point where I didn't want to put the book down to go to bed. There was the right amount of dialog, action and sex that the it moved quickly. The characters were funny in their interactions with one another and the family dynamic felt real. It makes me want to read about them even if their stories almost mirror one another. ...more

Dragon Actually
I liked this story the best of these two, Annwyl was pretty kick-ass, and Fearghus was good too - also loved the dragon-kin.

Chains and Flames
Didn't like this one as much, I don't like being told what to do, and it annoys me even in books.

Don't know if I will read more of these, but enjoyed this okay.

She leads a rebel army against her tyrant brother. She is a powerful and well accomplished warrior but still is afraid of her brother. At the beginning of the story she meets a dragon (Fearghus) after being injured. With the help of his sister Fearghus takes care of Annwyl and heals her. A love interest develops. While the ...more

I don't see the need for a review as many others have written theirs.

So, in all, read this if you like paranormal romance

This is a silly piece of fluff. Would've liked it better if the heroine hadn't been so annoying. She's always angry and yelling, she never grows up. Her brother hates and is trying to kill her but we never know why he hates her so much.
