yes there is an HEA. It was unexpected. An unexpected ending is really hard to when you're talking about romance but the author accomplished it. Love is Mortal is the final book in Caroline's Valerie Dearborn trilogy. She took the book in an entirely different direction than I would have expected. For that reason, I will not be including a recap of the story. I don't want to spoil it for other fans of the series.

For me, the best parts of the book were the most painful for the characters. This was not because I wished them harm or enjoyed seeing them in pain. But, it did give us more much needed insight into their lives. Actually, while ...more
