yes there is an HEA. It was unexpected. An unexpected ending is really hard to when you're talking about romance but the author accomplished it. I like it when it becomes apparent why the title was chosen. Aha! Love is mortal- I get it. I would just say love is magic. But then that's why I'm not an author.

Love is Mortal is the final book in Caroline's Valerie Dearborn trilogy. She took the book in an entirely different direction than I would have expected. For that reason, I will not be including a recap of the story. I don't want to spoil it for other fans of the series.
