Probably one the worst endings that I've read so far in scifi or fantasy fiction. The premise of this series I thought was great but the main character's internal struggle made me come to finally not care about the character at all. There was no closure to Japh and Dante's relationship. I am glad to have read the first three books. Oh well at least the series is done.

While I did enjoy this series, I think it would have worked better condensed down to 3 books. I read all 5 of them within a couple of weeks of each other, and the author reuses the same descriptive passages multiple times. And I found myself skimming a good portion of the final book. I would recommend this if you like series books, and move through them quickly. I would have been disappointed to follow this series as it was released though.
At the conclusion of this series, I find my heart racing from the adrenaline rush that is the life of Dante Valentine. Wow...You'll laugh and cry and scream in frustration as you journey with Dante and Japhrimel to Hell and Back ...literally. The only bad things I can say is that it was kind of dry in the bedroom department and that there are only five books in the series.
