I really enjoyed the previous 2 books. Poppy and Winston were present in the first 2 books, having come across as a happily married (and a bit boring) couple. From previous books, I really didn't have much of an opinion of Poppy. Winston, I thought, was given more personality and had more to do; and I admit I liked him more.

Probably more 3.5 star than 4. This series has me in its grip now. I really loved Winston in this story and his love of Poppy. Poppy I enjoyed as well...she was closed off but Win could always get to her and I could relate to that. Poor Jack - looking forward to his story next.
I'm disappointed with this book. The author herself says that keeping Winston Lane alive was a change of heart she had, and it shows. The book is not cohesive. In some parts it drags along, there is not enough plot to fill it, so it has a lot (A LOT) of angsty situations between Poppy and Winston.
I like them, they are intelligent and they find a way to trust each other again, I like the idea of taking a married couple for a romantic book and I love that Winston is not an overprotective uncommun ...more
