Hot Blooded had all the things I didn't like about the first book: the info dumps, the super convoluted world building, the page long-monologues by almost every character and the boasting. Hot Blooded is the second installment in the Jessica McClain series and basically picks right up where Full Blooded ended. Jessica and team are on a mission to find Jessica’s mate Roarke who was were-napped by the evil goddess Celina in book 1.

Although this had a cliffhanger ending, it seemed less of a cliffhanger than book 1--the arc was finished and we're off (immediately) to a new one. And there lies a problem that I have. Can't wait to read the next one although I'm hoping not to find a killer ending! I hate cliffhangers with a passion, lol. Especially when the next one isn't available! ...more
