Ive loved Gregori from the beginning but something felt lacking in this story. I enjoyed it quite a bit but it won't make my favorites list even though I expected it to. With his personality, I was expecting awesomeness and sadly, I don't think that was reached. To be fair, it could also be my own mindset at the time and my mood that threw the book off. I'm willing to cede that. I'd love to hear if anyone else felt the same. ...more

Gregori is a character I liked because I liked his sense of humor. However, I wasn't sure would do as a leading character in his own book. I was pleasantly surprised! A favorite quote- "Do you want a donut?" (Howard). New baddies in this one (they might not be new- it's been forever since I've read the previous books in this series- Master Han has a familiar ring to it). Will see how next book plays out (and I won't wait so long to start it) ...more
