So this series ends not with a bang but with a "meh". Unlike others I wasn't upset by who Sookie ended up with. I thought it had been hinted at throughout the series and (view spoiler). In fact for the first 200 pages or so I thought this was a return to the feel of the early books and I was enjoying it. But then the Sookie of the more recent books showed her ugly face. First I want to thank Ms. Harris for her books. Charlaine and Lauren K. Hamilton were my first authors I read that focused on urban fantasy. My relationship with Sookie has had it's ups and downs but I'm glad that I read the books.

There seems be a lot of hate & whining because people didn't get the ending they wanted. Hell a lot of people are giving the book bad reviews without reading the book. I'm glad that the series ended the way that it did and with whom. If you followed Charlaine's blog y

Sad to see the series end, but looking forward to 'After Dead: What Came Next In The World Of Sookie Stackhouse' Due out 10/29/13.

Quick read, just couldn't put it down (as with most of this series for me). Sookie's life is in turmoil/change, with just about every aspect. Sam & her are at a weird stand point, so is she with Eric. It's like the only one there is Tara, Bill, and Jason. A old friend turned enemy pops back up and asks Sookie for a job, which Sookie turns her down. Shortly after that

After the last few books have been a big disappointment (due to the lack of an actual gripping and interesting storyline; characters getting personality transplants; etc), I was hoping for at least a great finale to the series...but unfortunately that didn't happen.
Pretty much each and every character showed up to stand in line for a nice (or not so nice) wrap up to their story; some received one sentence some a bit more. Old enemies came out of the woodworks and got dealt with as well. And all

Hmmmmm... After all the hype about the horrible ending to this series, I have to say I am not surprised. A little sad (TEAM ERIC!), but as the author put it there is no way to make everyone happy. And while Eric has made Sookie happy for a few books now, it was a doomed relationship.

This book had the supposed HEA with a big bow on it. All loose ends were tied up nicely. There were cameo's from almost every person Sookie has ever come in contact with. The only HEA that was missing was for Eric,

Makes me terribly sad to give this book one star. Unfortunately, it doesn't deserve anything more. Charlaine Harris has deeply disappointed her fans. ...more

This was a great end to the Sookie Stackhouse stories. I enjoyed the wrap up.
