Finally the series is over, and it's a relief. I can say that I already knew from about book 9 that Sookie was going to end up with who she did. Does she deserve him? F%#k NO!!!!
Am I upset? Well that fact should be apparent. I'm done with Harris. I've been disappointed with her other series as well. Lily Bard didn't end well yet she made a cameo appearance in this book.
Am I having a Bevis Trip? Really?

Original Review 6/21/2013:
So, I was determined to see this series through, and was prepared for the worst, especially considering the horrible reviews and the weakness of the past few books. But I actually ended up being a bit pleasantly surprised.
Maybe I'm just pragmatic, but the ending wasn't disappointing, nor particularly surprising, (view spoiler) ...more

Well along with everyone else I'm sad to see the end of Sookie, but the last couple of books have been interesting only because I'd come to know Sookie and all her friends, enemies and acquaintances.
It was sorta like CH had a checklist of characters and had to come up with a plausible conclusion for them all.
I knew Sookie wouldn't end up with Eric or Bill, (she did want children eventually), but I was still disappointed with the lack of Ericness in this story, and Pam was almost non existent as ...more

I will miss my sookie Stackhouse books. This isn't the ending I wanted her to have. I felt like parts of this book was really rushed. But with it all said and done, I am really sad to see Miss Stackhouse go, I can, at least still cherish hBO's true blood series.

Omg I could not have written a better ending. I'm sorry to see the series go but I love the wrap up.

I have to say though I liked Eric, I just didn't see him with Sookie.... Not really. From the beginning its Sam I felt she should have been with..... There were some loose ends but I was really happy to see the majority of the characters back and the past revisited through Sookie's thoughts. In that way it really felt like an ending.

2.5/5 stars. Figured it would end that way after asking a question of the author on a blog several books back. Can't say I feel it was a satisfying ending. Very unsatisfying for me, actually. Definitely didn't leave me with a happy feeling. The person Sookie ended up feeling fraternal to me. Too weird.

How could it be anything but good when Sookie is reading one of Dana's (Stabenow) books in it?
