3 1/2 stars. I had heard who Sookie ended up with before I read this book, and as a die hard Sookie/Eric shipper, I was fully expecting that I would really dislike this book. And I was figuring that I'd give it two stars or even one and rip the book to shreds in my review. Now you may be asking yourself, "well then, why did you even read it?" The answer to that is because, I've stuck with Sookie and Co. for 12 books and I didn't want to give up on them with one book left in the series, and I als ...more

No.

Seeing how the last two books were turds, I fought with myself.. Do I wanna finish the series? So I went off to B&N picked it up.. Got two chapters in.. And put it back down.

Although I enjoyed earlier books in the series more than these last few, I was pleased and satisfied with the final ending of Sookie's romance life. (I just hope they really get their happily ever after!) ...more

The last in the Sookie series...and for me it was a fulfilling, gorgeous way to wrap it all up. Charlaine Harris did a great job of staying true to her characters. She could have written 500 more pages and I would have happily devoured them. I hated to see it end. It was emotional, joyful, sad and ultimately redeeming. This series is my favorite of all time and I thought this book did it all justice.

I think the ending was appropriate. It might not have been what people wanted for Sookie but it made sense for her.
