A solid first in series with an interesting premise and characters, solid plot and plenty to take forward. Con artist meets vampires could have been very cheesy, but instead it gives a nice twist on the "standard mythos" (about both). High marks as a summer paranormal read. ...more

A different take on vampires is refreshing. Being a vampire brings some unusual problems and this group isn't all hearts and rainbows with humans. The human heroine has her own interesting background that comes in quite handy for the vamps. ...more
