How utterly satisfying! Although this is a spin off of Cat and Bone’s series, fret not. Cat, Bones and all our favorite characters are present, accounted for, and for once an author doesn’t just have our past heroes and heroines make a brief appearance to appease us. We get to see their stories move forward along side the new protagonists.

First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost i was really glad that frost decided to explore wit side characters. characters that i knoe that i wanted a little more of is spade, ian, and mencheres. i dont knoe if there will be an ian book though but im hoping! i really liked this book but didnt really until i had gotten through it a bit more like let's say middle-ish. i wasnt so stuck on spade and denise like i was cat and bones. like that feeling u get when u just love a couple in a book. i love spa ...more

Great first book for a new series.
Frost's writing is very easy to follow, the plot was interesting and you can't help but to like the characters.
I liked the happy ending but I would've preferred a female lead a little less martyr-ish!

I liked Denise and Spade, but they are no Cat and Bones. It was cool "the gang" all made appearances and (I thought) made the book more enjoyable. I liked Denise's decision towards the end of the book. She saved herself and realized she didn't need Spade to do it all for her. Yay! ...more
