What Members Thought

Well, it had some sincerely scary moments, but it was nothing I haven't seen before in horror films. There was no amazing twist to freak me out. The "heroine" eventually did become a better person, but I'm not sure why. There was so much creepy stuff in this book that could have been twisted into something much more scary that it was a let down when it followed a by the number sort of plot. As for the epilogue, completely out of sync with the rest of the book.

I'm a big wuss when it comes to anything scary. I avoid scary movies and horror books. Every review I've read for this book said it was creepy so I put it off for a while. Lately I keep seeing the sequel popping up in IMM posts, and it seemed like this book was haunting me, it would whisper "read me". so I did, and while I will agree with everyone it was creepy I loved it.
