About JD Steele, who is offered a job with the Bureau of American Defense (aka BAD). He's in prison serving a 25 year sentence for losing his cool while in the Army and scaring his superior office. The commanding officer had given orders to the men without clearance which caused JD's best friend to die. Bad offers him a position based on one of his former army buddies recommendations on his sharp shooter abilities. There is a romance that develops between JD and his spotter, Sydney. Liked it.

3.5 stars, really. Steele's character was sweet and hard at the same time, like really good candy. And Syd was fine...but for a full-length story, there was some of that zing missing that was there in the earlier, shorter stories...
