I have to say, this book is the best apocalypse ever!
Cass is a woman with a complicated past, present and future. She lives in Aftertime, the period of time when everything is changed.
I think that the groups that formed as a result in this book are the most believable of all I've ever encountered as a fallout of some Catastrophe. People struggle, some develop, some degrade. Cass has only one purpose, find her little daughter. But not everything goes her way. She meets people, interacts with t ...more

I really struggled to like this book...to like Cass. She really bothered me. I skimmed alot of her inner mumbo jumbo, she was just pathertic, I don't think I will bother reading the next two in the series.
